We've Gone to the Dogs!

We have this dog.

This said dog is crazy. He's an old man at 12 years of age but acts more like a child. A spoiled child. This could be because we spoil him. More often it's my husband doing the spoiling but you didn't hear that from me.

He's cute as can be. I'm talking about my dog! Good for him. Cuteness is his most redeeming quality. His cuteness helped him rise to the position of the resident family favorite. No one is more loved in our family than our family member with paws.

Everyone and everything are worthy of love - including our Murphy - but do we ever take it to the extreme? Yes, sometimes even oftentimes.

Has our life gone to the dogs?!

When we pause to ponder...Do we give more love and attention to our resident pet than to our resident spouse? He gets treats. Do they?

Is my morning greeting to my dog more endearing than the greeting to my husband? Sadly, maybe so. My Murphy eagerly awaits my morning appearing. He greets me with love in his eyes and the utmost enthusiasm. He anticipates his morning belly rub and ear scratching. I pretty much leave my hubby's ears alone and haven't rubbed his belly in years.

It's also been a while since I talked baby talk to my husband. Do it to my dog all the time! Hmmmm. 😯

Murphy is one lucky dog! Is my man one lucky man?! Hope he thinks so.

I'll hug my hairy / stinky / dirty dog who needs a bath. If my husband approaches me in that condition, I'll first say, "go take a bath!"

How many pictures of my husband do I have on my phone in comparison to my dog? I post funny videos of my dog quite often. Have I ever posted one of my hubby? Don't think so.

I have had a picture of Murphy as my phone wallpaper many a day. My husband...not even once. 👴

I rarely if ever think negatively of my Murph. He gets to use all excuses he wants and gets all the benefit of any doubt. My boys may call him dumb but I know differently. I say he just remains humble by keeping all his smarts more hidden. My husband deserves the benefit of the doubt as well and an escape hatch every now and then when his smarts become more hidden.

Do I give him the same if not more rights than my dog?!

I need to take a lesson from my Murph. Do you? He would tell me to love his dad full out / belly up / ears tickled pink!

I'll try. I promise.

My man deserves the best from me.

Don't lose my love to dogs.

I have enough to go around.

Remind me in my blogs.
